Definition: Biodiesel is a diesel-equivalent, processed fuel derived from biological sources. Although it comes from biological sources, it is a processed fuel that can be readily used in diesel-engined vehicles. This is in contrast to using straight vegetable oils (SVO) or waste vegetable oils (WVO) as fuels in some modified diesel vehicles which need engine modifications.
