Tax Savings

As the W-2 forms for the past year start to roll in, many of us are looking to begin work on our 2006 tax returns. Whether we are scrambling for deductions or just looking to maximize that refund check, we need to take time to look back on the past year's purchases to see if any of our appliances or home repairs can qualify for tax credits due to their energy efficiency.

Water Heaters are one of the most commonly purchased items that homeowners can use for tax credits. Other credits can be found at the US DOE site or through the IRS.
