Japanese Citizens not Feeling the Energy Pinch

Unlike the rest of the world, Japan seems to be unfazed by high energy costs.

Specialists say that Japan is the most energy-efficient of all developed countries. A title they have earned through technology and a state of mind. "Energy conservation is almost an obsession here among government, companies, regular citizens, everyone," according to Hitoshi Ikuma, a specialist in energy issues at the Japan Research Institute.
